Oracle Fusion Middleware Delivers World Record Single-Node Result

Oracle WebLogic Server on HP ProLiant DL980 G7 Server Delivers Winning Result

Oracle WebLogic Server 11g, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, running Oracle Linux on a HP ProLiant DL980 G7 server, together with Oracle Database 11g, achieved a world record single-node result with the SPECjAppServer2004 industry standard benchmark(1).

This achievement adds to Oracle WebLogic Server's current SPECjAppServer2004 benchmark records including world record results in multi-node(2) and dual-node(3) categories; the highest performance ever achieved running a clustered database(4); and the highest performance per core(5) of any result ever published.

Benchmark Details
Oracle WebLogic Server 11g with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 achieved 20,092.36 SPECjAppServer2004 JOPS@Standard (jAppServer Operations Per Second). Oracle WebLogic Server was running on an HP ProLiant DL980 G7 server with eight, eight-core Intel® Xeon® X7560 2.26 GHz processors. Oracle Database 11g was running on an identical hardware configuration. Both the application server and database server were running Oracle Enterprise Linux.

HP ProLiant DL980 G7, featuring the HP PREMA Architecture delivers balanced scaling, self-healing resiliency and breakthrough efficiency needed to overcome the challenges of today's most demanding x86 compute environments.

For the past decade, Oracle has consistently submitted record-setting Java application server benchmarks on a broad range of hardware and software platforms. For current leading results, visit: http://www.oracle.com/solutions/performance_scalability/benchmark_results.html
